Our Ayurvedic Medicines
'As they fell from Heaven, the plants said,
'The living soul we pervade, that man will suffer no harm.'
– Rig Veda X.97
The uniqueness of our Ayurvedic medicines has had a big role to play in the success we have achieved in most nagging disorders.
Our Ayurvedic Medicine Making Process
Instead of buying adulterated herbs from the market our herbs are provided to us by the local farmers and herb collectors. These people have very deep understanding of the herbs, sometimes their knowledge exceeds that of the experts. They collect herbs in the right season on auspicious days. On such days the potential of these herbs is proven to be maximum. Then they are properly dried. Based on the properties some herbs are dried in shade and others are dried in sunlight. Many herbs grow in the higher reaches of the Himalayas and require a great deal of effort to be collected.

Medicine Bottle Immersed in Sand
The medicine in the bottle is immersed in sand to ensure even heating and purity.

Heating the Bottle at 950°F
The bottle is heated at a precise temperature to activate and purify the ingredients.

Adding Milk
Pure milk is added to balance and enhance the healing properties of the medicine.

Frying in Ghee
Ingredients are gently fried in ghee to extract their active goodness.

Adding Oil
Medicated oil is added to blend the essence of herbs and increase potency.

Triturating the Medicine
The medicine is triturated well to achieve a fine, uniform and effective formulation.
Now these herbs are made into different formulations like powders, tablets, Quathas (decoctions), Malhars (ointments), lepas (creams), asavas & arishtas (alcoholic preparations), guggulu preparations (a variety of tablets prepared out of resin of a plant), ghee & oil preparations, Rasayanas (rejuvenative medicines). Then these are further processed by the method of trituration, in which the dried powders or wet paste of herbs is triturated or ground in juices, decoctions, milk, ghee etc. to increase the potency and therapeutic application of the medicines.
Each trituration takes 6-8 hours and some medicines are triturated more than 100 times. This method is unique to traditional Ayurvedic pharmacy. It is extremely laborious, which is why most modern Ayurvedic pharmacies have dispensed with this process. We believe this process is crucial to the quality and effectiveness of our medicines.

Ancient Wisdom. Authentic Care.
Every medicine is crafted using authentic Ayurvedic methods, carefully selected herbs, and time-tested formulations to support your journey towards complete wellness.
We cannot single out the best medicine. Each patient is unique in body constitution and disease pattern. All medicines are good and only a wise doctor knows which ones to choose. This is the reason why we don't advocate 'product' culture in Ayurveda where products for specific diseases are sold in the market.
